Photo Hunters #6 - Soft

My photo depicting soft is of Ballerinas bed spread and pillows. They are like feathers - beautiful to lay on. The sort of soft that you like to rub against your face and it feels really, well, soft and luxurious.

Happy weekend to you all!

Just a quick update - we have a roof!!

It's a colourbond roof - the colour being Jasper. Yay we are excited!!

Wordless Wednesday 7

It's a leaf - ballerina was intrigued by the shape of this leaf - we're guessing we have a very creative caterpillar in our garden!!

Happy Week to you all.

House update 5

Well it has been a few weeks since I have provided an update on the building of our house. The builders went off site while the pool was being dug. We then had a bit of rain, but now we seem to be back on track. Here are a few pictures:

Below is the frame - it is beginning to look like a house now.

As of today the gutters are around the roof. The insulation wrap is around the house and the windows are in place.

Looking from the front of the house - our bedroom has French doors (although I am querying the contract, because I thought we had organised for the glass to be spotswood not clear). The 2 windows on the left are in the study.

Looking from the block next door over the pool into one bedroom (left), family room (centre) and dining room (right).

Looking from the Family room out to the pergola area (under main roof) and out to the pool.

From block next door looking towards the front - dining room (centre), garage sliding door (right).

So it is finally coming together, although it will still be a couple of months before we can move in. Hopefully the roof will go on by the end of the week and then it will be bricked up.

Have a great week.

Photo Hunters #5 - Antique

Nito (hubby) bought these Japanese pictures through a deceased estate a few years back in Kuranda. The actual pictures date back to the early 1900's and are made of Mother of Pearl. There is an order and story with the 4 pictures, but unfortunately we are not aware of it.

It is slightly difficult to see, but there are 2 people in the picture - to me it is either husband and wife, or father and daughter.

We do not have them hanging at the moment, but in our new home they will be up on the walls!!

Happy Weekend.

Photo Hunters #4 - Broken

We bought this TV for Skaterboy a couple of Christmases ago - it lasted about 6 months and then it broke. We have been meaning to get it fixed, but it just hasn't happened yet. So it is still broken:

Happy weekend!!

Eric Prydz Vs Floyd-Proper Education

Loving this at the moment. Have a watch - kids looking after our planet!!

Market Day

So Ballerina and I took off to the markets again this morning. We got a bit of a late start though, but there was stil plenty of fresh produce. Nito (hubby) will be happy when he comes home as there was a seafood van there this morning - hopefully it will be there next week. So here is our haul today:

Flowers, potatoes, pumpkin, watermelon, onions, corn, lettuce, apples - granny smith and delicious, bananas, mangoes and the lovely cakes.

The colours are great (not done justice in the photos) and the aromas are beautiful. We were a bit smarter this time and took a couple of shopping bags with us, but I think I will invest in one of those pull along trolleys as it got quite heavy quite quickly.

Enjoy your week - we will!

Exercise - weight update Feb

So I have lost 1kg during January. I'm pretty happy about that. I walked most days - not all though - didn't get to the pool - cut down on my portion sizes for each meal and yep 1kg lost. Not too hard at all!

Photo Hunters #3 - Gross

This weeks theme is gross - many defintions and interpretations of gross, but this is mine:

Dirty dishes in the sink!!

Yes there were plenty of gross things I saw this week, but did I want to take a photo and display it to you all - no. So this is about the grossest (is that a word?) thing in my life - which I'm grateful for.

Enjoy your weekend!
